SHOX2 is a key transcriptional regulator in several genetic diseases, and SHOX2 has been shown to be a valuable biomarker in the diagnosis and evaluation of many types of cancers (Kneip et al., 2011; Teng et al., 2021), including gliomas (Zhang et al., 2019,2016).
