Assay for transposase-accessible chromatin using sequencing (ATAC-seq) was used to explore the landscape of chromatin accessibility of psoriatic skin tissue (PP) and nonpsoriatic skin tissue (PN) from patients with psoriasis and normal skin tissue (NN) from healthy individuals, the results show that AIM2 gene promoter region was specifically more accessible in PP, and contained a CpG site (cg07195224), which was previously reported to be significantly hypomethylated in psoriasis (Tang L. et al., 2021). The gene discussed is AIM2; the disease is psoriasis.
