Cheung et al. (2010) found that G3BP can be used as a marker for HCV-related liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. Through the serum proteomics, C4-A and inter-α-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain H4 were screened to predict HCV-related liver fibrosis (Yang et al., 2011). This evidence concerns the gene G3BP1 and Hepatic fibrosis.
