NT5E and metabolic syndrome: The first study (Martins, Bagatini, Cardoso, Zanini, Abdalla, Baldissarelli, Dalenogare, Farinha, et al., 2016) showed that, under pre‐training conditions, platelets of metabolic syndrome patients presented an increase in NTPDase (p < 0.001), 5’‐NT/CD73 (p < 0.001) and NPP (p < 0.001) activities, and a decrease in ADA (p < 0.001) activity, compared to the control group.
