C4A and Decreased total leukocyte count: Results also showed leukopenia with a white blood cell (WBC) count of 1140/μL (normal, 4700–8700/μL; neutrophils, 809/μL) and thrombocytopenia with a platelet count of 9.7 × 104/μL (normal, 15.0–35.0 × 104/μL), elevated lactate dehydrogenase at 537 U/L (normal, 124–222 U/L), and ferritin at 622 ng/mL (normal, 6–138 ng/mL), in addition to low C4 and CH50 levels: complement C3, 111 mg/dL (normal, 68–144 mg/dL); complement C4, < 2 mg/dL (normal, 12–33 mg/dL); and complement, total (CH50), < 14.0 U/mL (normal, 30–46 U/mL).
