For site-specific cancer, we observed three different patterns of non-linear associations along with the increase of CRP concentration (FDR-adjusted Poverall < 0.05, and FDR-adjusted Pnon-linear < 0.05), including (1) “fast-to-low increase” of risks for cancers of head and neck, colorectal, liver, lung, kidney cancer, and non-Hodgkin lymphoma; (2) “increase-to-decrease” of risk for breast cancer; and (3) “decrease-to-platform” of risk for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and cancer.
