Patients in the in-hospital mortality group were older, with more previous admission due to heart failure excerption, had a longer hospital stay, and had a higher need for vasopressors, inotropes, invasive ventilation, lower systolic blood pressure (mmHg), lower oxygen saturation, higher CRP level, higher Serum creatinine and BNP levels (p-value = 0.005, < 0.001, < 0.001, 0.001, 0.001, 0.001, < 0.001, 0.036, < 0.001, and < 0.001 respectively). Here, CRP is linked to heart failure.
