With the exception of sOGA, all of these proteins have demonstrated expression in enterocytes where analogous regulatory relationships, if true, would link hyperlipidemia-driven O-GlcNAcylation to enhanced intestinal uptake and secretion of dietary fat as well as to fat-stimulated satiety through CD36-dependent enterocyte synthesis of OEA (214, 215).
