In recent years, it has been gradually found that BGN is highly expressed in various malignant tumors, such as endometrial cancer [14], ovary cancer [15], pancreatic adenocarcinoma [16], esophageal squamous cell carcinoma [17], colorectal cancer [18], and gastric cancer [19], suggesting an essential role of BGN in the pathogenesis and progression of cancer.
