MAPT and Alzheimer disease: AD PRS has been associated with a wide range of phenotypes, among them prediction the risk of AD and mild cognitive impairment (MCI), cognitive functioning (both for global or specific domains, such as memory), brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) volumetric findings, brain amyloid beta (Aβ) burden measured by positron emission tomography (PET), or amyloid and tau biomarkers in the cerebrospinal fluid (reviewed by Chasioti et al., 2019; Harrison et al., 2020; Zhou et al., 2021).
