High expression of RHOH is also detected in neutrophils from Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients [39] and in tumor-infiltrating neutrophils in mice [40] as assessed by analyzing publicly accessible single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) datasets (GEO GSE158055 and ArrayExpress E-MTAB-8832, respectively) (S1B and S1C Fig), suggesting that RHOH represents a shared transcriptional adaptation conferred to neutrophils by inflammatory microenvironments in distinct neutrophilic diseases. This evidence concerns the gene RHOH and neoplasm.
