This correlation was more striking among tissues from higher grade tumors (r = 0.47, p = 0.002, Gleason scores 4 and 5) (Figure 7G), which was further supported by staining of p-GCN2 and 4F2 (SLC3A2) of core needle biopsy specimens from patients with high-grade PCa (Figure 7—figure supplement 3B). This evidence concerns the gene SLC3A2 and posterior cortical atrophy.
