Using immunohistochemistry and prostate tumor microarrays featuring normal and non-malignant prostate tissue (N = 33) and malignant tumor tissues (N = 88), we determined that there was enhanced GCN2 activity in the tumor samples compared to normal tissues as measured by p-GCN2-T899 staining (Figure 1F).
