Myxovirus resistance protein B (MXB/MX2), a dynamin-like GTPase, inhibits infection of HIV and primate lentivirus by blocking their trafficking and nuclear entry steps (Goujon et al., 2013; Kane et al., 2013; Liu et al., 2013; Wei et al., 2016; Yamashita and Engelman, 2017; Betancor et al., 2019, 2021).
