A host of mutated genes have also been implicated as the cause of acromegaly, AIP in familial isolated pituitary adenoma [11,12], SDH subunits in pituitary adenomas in association with pheochromocytomas/paragangliomas (3Pa) [13,14], mutated MAX gene, and overexpression of GPR101 [12]. This evidence concerns the gene GPR101 and pituitary gland adenoma.
