While levels of SLCO2A1, SLCO2B1 and that of the most abundantly expressed SLCO3A1 were higher in mesothelial cells than in ovarian cancer cells (p = 0.002 and p = 0.03, respectively), SLCO4A1 mRNA levels were higher in ovarian cancer cells (median of 304 read counts) as compared to mesothelial cells (median of 41 read counts) (Figure 1; p = 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene SLCO2B1 and ovarian carcinoma.
