Fostamatinib (R788), a soluble pro-drug form of the Syk inhibitor R406, has been used as anti-inflammatory therapeutics in phase II clinical trials for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) [34], in B-cell lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL) [35] and in diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) patients [46] with a positive response to therapy.
