A previous study demonstrated that C-terminal peptides of CD63, CD151 and CD81 reduced the infection of HPV using HeLa cells and HaCaT cells while C-terminal peptides of CD63 and CD151 reduced the HCMV infection in vivo through EA.hy926, immortalised human endothelial cell-large T antigen and telomerase (HEC-LTT) and human foreskin fibroblast (HFF) cells as the model of infection (16). Here, CD81 is linked to cytomegalovirus infection.
