The final sensitivity analysis specific to liver cancer as cause of death from SEER confirmed the findings: SGLT2 inhibitor use was associated with reduced risk of mortality (HR = 0.58, 95% CI = 0.42–0.89) and the association was stronger for longer duration of use (HR = 0.37, 95% CI = 0.19, 0.71). Here, SLC5A2 is linked to liver cancer.
