IGF2BP1 and breast carcinoma: Some investigative groups reported that IGF2BP1 was downregulated and that it suppressed the invasive phenotype of human breast carcinoma cells both in vitro (Gu et al., 2012) and in a mouse xenograft model through the regulation of its target mRNAs (Wang et al., 2016) or via an interaction with the lncRNA urethral carcinoma-associated 1 (UCA1) (Zhou et al., 2018).
