In fact, IGF2BP1 has been found to be frequently overexpressed in many cancers, such as head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) (Paramasivam et al., 2021), melanoma (Kim et al., 2018; Mahapatra et al., 2019), cervical cancer (Wang et al., 2018), ovarian carcinoma (Kobel et al., 2007; Mahapatra et al., 2017) and lung cancer (Shi et al., 2017). Here, IGF2BP1 is linked to head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
