Among the hypomethylated enriched pathways, we found some that were labeled as neuronal system, neurotransmitter receptors, transmission across chemical synapses, and potassium channels, all of which have been shown to partake in GBM development and progression (Venkataramani et al., 2019; Venkatesh et al., 2019). The gene discussed is KCNA3; the disease is glioblastoma.
