Figures 4A,B illustrate medians and means of CIBERSORT estimates of abundances of 22 immune cell subtypes. Significant differences in the abundances of CD8+ T cells, M0 macrophages, activated NK cells, and especially CD8+ T cells were noted between SIGP-L and SIGP-H. Figures 4C,D shows boxplots of CIBERSORT estimates of the abundances of CD8+ T cells and activated NK cells. Compared with SIGP-H and SIGP-WT, SIGP-L had a higher proportion of CD8+ T cells and activated NK cells, which would play a crucial role in eliminating cancer cells. Here, CD8A is linked to cancer.
