Generally, patients with NB diagnosed before the age of 18 months, at the early stage (stage 1, 2, or 4 s) and without MYCN amplification have better outcomes (Brodeur, 2003; Vo et al., 2014) while children with recurrent and/or metastatic NB have a dismal event-free survival (EFS, <25%).
