GINS2 and familial pancreatic carcinoma: Yan et al. (2018) identified that GINS2 mRNA transcription was upregulated in ovarian cancer cells while inhibiting GINS2 expression reduced the proliferation and viability of ovarian cancer cells by interfering with the cell cycle. Meanwhile, Huang L et al. found that GINS2 could activate the ERK/MAPK signaling to promote epithelial-mesenchymal transformation (EMT) in pancreatic cancer (Zhang et al., 2020b).
