Given that the anti-tumor effects of NFYAv2 are achieved through gluconeogenesis and that NFYA regulates gluconeogenic enzyme PCK1 expression in hepatocytes (Zhang et al., 2018), we next examined the expression of PCK1 to determine how the NFYAv2 regulates gluconeogenesis in HCC. The gene discussed is NFYA; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
