Neurofibroma (distinguished by S100 positivity), dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans of myxoid type (prefers trunks and extremities and EMA negative), superficial angiomyxoma (usually head and neck), low‐grade fibromyxoid sarcoma and myxofibrosarcoma (rare on acral surfaces and negative for CD34). The gene discussed is MUC1; the disease is plexiform neurofibroma.
