These results show that acute TLR2 inhibition of NF-κB and AP-1 transcription factor activity impacted both proinflammatory signaling (i.e., decreased MCP-1 and RANTES) and profibrotic signaling (i.e., decreased TGF-β1) in response to adsorbed-lysate on TeflonTM AF at 72 h. This evidence concerns the gene CCL5 and atrial fibrillation.
