GALNT14 and ovarian carcinoma: A combination of cisplatin with mTOR inhibitors causes an additive effect of cell death, and GALNT14, a member of the family of acetyl-galactosyltransferases, regulates the stability of EGFR proteins to inhibit the EGFR/mTOR pathway, thereby downregulating self-induced ferroptosis in ovarian cancer cells (Li H.W. et al., 2022).
