In order to explore the potential target genes of miR-137-3p, the authors first used two bioinformatics databases (TargetScan and miRDB) to predict the potential interaction between miR-137-3p and mRNA, and ten up-regulated mRNAs were found in BLCA, including TMEM125, E2F7, TFAP2A, EXO1, DSP, FGF11, EZH2, SEZ6L2, KDELR3 and EFNA3 (Fig. 3A). Here, KDELR3 is linked to bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
