In order to explore the potential target genes of miR-137-3p, the authors first used two bioinformatics databases (TargetScan and miRDB) to predict the potential interaction between miR-137-3p and mRNA, and ten up-regulated mRNAs were found in BLCA, including TMEM125, E2F7, TFAP2A, EXO1, DSP, FGF11, EZH2, SEZ6L2, KDELR3 and EFNA3 (Fig. 3A). This evidence concerns the gene FGF11 and bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
