By assessing serum cytokine concentrations and immune cell numbers during CAR-T, we observed significantly increased amounts of serum inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, CRP, IFN-γ, D-dimer, ferritin) but low numbers of immune cells (monocytes, lymphocytes, neutrophils, leukocytes) in severe CRS (Fig. 5c). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is congenital rubella syndrome.
