After excluding 90 SNPs from systolic BP GRS and 67 SNPs from diastolic BP GRS that explain more variation in kidney function than BP, or in genes with differential expression in the kidney, or associated with the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system or disordered kidney development/morphology/physiology, the association between BP and risk of CKD was, if anything, somewhat stronger (Figure S5).
