TGFB1 and Hepatic fibrosis: In CCl4-induced hepatic fibrosis rat model, daily orally administration with FBRP, at doses of 0.55 g/kg, for 8 weeks, decreased the serum levels of ALT, AST, PCIII, HA, LN and IV-C, alleviated the level of infiltration of leukocytes, necrosis, bile duct proliferationa, and collagen deposition as well as downregulated reduced the protein expression of TGF-β1 and Smad3 in the rat liver (Yang F. R. et al., 2013).
