This year, Mahjabeen et al. [31] reported that the intake of pure (99%) resveratrol (0.2 g/day for 24 weeks) significantly decreased the levels of FPG (−9.0 mg/dL), Hb1Ac (−0.45%), insulin (−1.31 mUI/L) and HOMA-IR (−0.83) in T2DM patients (N = 55 treatment group, N = 55 placebo group) taking oral anti-hyperglycemic agents, providing further support to this molecule as a potential co-adjuvant against T2DM.
