The KRG extract induced apoptosis, as evidenced by the formation of apoptotic cells (Figure 3a), an increase in the number of sub-G1-phase cells (Figure 3b), and an increase in the levels of cleaved caspase-9, caspase-3, and PARP1 (Figure 3c) in colon cancer cells. Here, PARP1 is linked to malignant colon neoplasm.
