It has been reported that scrapie infection regulates Ras homolog family member A/Rho-associated protein kinase (RhoA/ROCK) activity through the interaction of PrPSc with RhoA and p190RhoGAP in 22L scrapie-infected hippocampal neuronal cells [44] and that RhoA/ROCK activity modulates Drp1-mediated mitochondrial fission [45].
