ANXA1 and infection: Histopathological analysis at 1, 7, or 14 days post-infection revealed a significant increase in tissue injury and showed that paws of AnxA1 KO mice had greater tissue inflammation compared with WT (BALB/c) mice, peaking at 7 dpi (Figure 5A,B), indicating a protective role of AnxA1 in CHIKV disease.
