In the breast cancer cell line, MDA-MB-231, 93.2 ± 0.5% of cells with an active form of NF-κB were observed after the use of 1.5 μM EDA-71, while treatment with a higher dose (3 μM) resulted in a drastic decrease in the number of cells with this active protein to 52.9 ± 0.9% (control: 95.7 ± 0.2%). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and breast cancer.
