When patients were categorized on the basis of a diagnosis of PCa, patients with Pca had smaller prostate volumes (36.7 ± 18.0 vs. 47.8 ± 22.6, p < 0.001), higher PSA density (PSAD) (0.25 ± 0.19 vs. 0.17 ± 0.24, p < 0.001), a lower percentage of fPSA (14.1 ± 6.7 vs. 19.4 ± 8.6, p = 0.013), a higher percentage of p2PSA (2.05 ± 1.55 vs. 1.35 ± 1.55, p < 0.001), and higher PHI (51.6 ± 19.5 vs. 36.5 ± 15.7, p < 0.001) than the patients with negative biopsy reports. The gene discussed is KLK3; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
