CD38 and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia: Nonetheless, the elevated expression (i.e., over 30%) of CD38 in CLL is associated with advanced disease stage, higher incidence of lymphadenopathy, hepatomegaly, high-risk cytogenetics, elevated sβ2m, and sCD23 levels, short lymphocyte doubling time, short time to initiation of the first treatment, poor response to therapy, shorter progression-free survival (PFS) and OS [101,102,103].
