Consistent with the mRNA expression data, Feng et al. reported that among 64 samples of NSCLC tissues, 19 (29.6%) showed high ACE2 expression [9], and Yamaguchi et al. showed that tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI)-naïve EGFR-mutant lung adenocarcinomas mostly contain cancer cells expressing ACE2, to a greater extent than normal lung epithelia [10]. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
