Clinically, both EMC10 and ATP1A4 protein levels are positively associated with sperm motility in humans [6], and a positive correlation was also observed between EMC10 and ATP1B3 protein levels in human spermatozoa in this study, implying that the components in the axis exhibit diagnostic and therapeutic potential for asthenospermia or male infertility. The gene discussed is ATP1B3; the disease is male infertility.
