Revacept, a protein created with the dimeric fusion of the human Fc fragment and the extracellular domain of GPVI (GPVI-Fc), has shown to induce a significant decrease in thrombus formation after endothelial injury, improve the functional outcome, cerebral infarct size, and edema compared to the control (Fc fragment only) (at doses 1 mg/kg IV) [109]. This evidence concerns the gene GP6 and brain infarction.
