In ovarian cancer cells, overexpression of REDD1 stimulated up-regulation of Bcl-x(L) or Bcl-2 and down-regulation of FADD, caspase1, caspase8, caspase 9, caspase 10, BAX, Bad, and Bcl-X(S), whereas REDD1 knockdown blocked RAS-dependent transformation of the cells [66].
