NFKB1 and cancer: Moreover, NF-κB signaling is implicated in the regulation of cell-cycle progression [31,44], and USP48 has been described as a regulator of cell cycle and proliferation [13,15], linked to tumorigenesis [14,45] and also found to be mutated in cancer [46,47], although the molecular mechanisms associating USP48 with NF-κB in the control of cell proliferation have not been clearly described yet.
