LOXL1 and neoplasm: This family comprises five cooper-dependent amine oxidases (LOX, LOXL1, LOXL2, LOXL3, and LOXL4) [6,7], which are involved in several hallmarks of cancers [8,9,10], such as tumor microenvironment remodeling, invasion/migration [11,12,13], growth [14,15,16], inflammatory response [17,18,19], genomic stability [20], and resistance to chemotherapy [21,22].
