GJB2-related hearing loss (n = 75 pairs), cystic fibrosis (n = 15 pairs), thyroid dyshormonogenesis (n = 12 pairs), and thalassemia (n = 16 pairs) were the most common conditions found in the ARCs, which correspond with the related gene carrier frequencies identified in individuals. This evidence concerns the gene GJB2 and familial thyroid dyshormonogenesis.
