This class of tsRNAs which were generated from tRNA-Glu, tRNA-Gly, tRNA-Asp and tRNA-Tyr could suppress the development of BC metastasis by interacting with the oncogenic RNA-binding protein (RBP) Y box binding protein 1 (YBX1) and displacing 3′ UTRs of multiple oncogenic transcripts including high-mobility group AT-hook1 (HMGA1), cluster of differentiation 151 (CD151), cluster of differentiation 97 (CD97), tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-3 (TIMP3) and protein kinase B (AKT1) from YBX1 resulting in destabilization of these transcripts in BC cells (Goodarzi et al., 2015). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and breast cancer.
