Evidence has shown that TRPV2 mediates the secretion of RANKL via the Ca2+-calcineurin-nuclear factor of activated T cells 3 (NFATc3) signaling pathway in multiple myeloma (MM) cells, and RANKL levels are demonstrated in a Ca2+ dose-dependent way (Figure 2a) [7]. The gene discussed is NFATC3; the disease is Miyoshi myopathy.
