This is in line with research by Haqet al. which confirmed that the increased dose of black cumin extract from 0.5 μg / ml to 5 μg/ml could increasein vitro IL-1β production in polymorphonuclear leukocytes.41 Likewise, a study by Milianiet al. expressed an increase in IL-1β by leukemia cells exposed to 5 μM thymoquinone.42 High doses of black cumin can increase the production of IL-1β which in turn can increase the activation of NF-κB so that M1 to M2 polarization does not occur.
