Similar to men, women with NAFLD had a higher BMI, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, TC, TG, LDL-C, LDL/HDL cholesterol ratio, UA, CRP, AST, and ALT but lower mean age, duration of T2DM, and HDL-C than those without NAFLD (all P < 0.05). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
