The HRs were more extreme among participants with, than without, central obesity for apolipoprotein B/apolipoprotein A1 (HR 2.99 vs. 1.45; p ≤ 0.05) (Supplementary Fig. S4) and BCAA (leucine 2.46 vs. 1.73, p ≤ 0.01; isoleucine 2.49 vs. 1.67, p ≤ 0.05; valine 2.30 vs. 2.04, p ≤ 0.05) (Supplementary Fig. S5) with T2D. This evidence concerns the gene APOB and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
